Extreme athlete Felix Baumgartner has landed on Earth after jumping
from the stratosphere in what could be the world's first supersonic
skydive. Baumgartner landed in eastern New Mexico desert minute after jumping from 28,000 feet, or 24 miles. He raised his hands in victory shortly after landing. He took off in a pressurized capsule carried by the balloon 55 floors ultra-thin helium. He jumped from a height of more than three times the average cruising altitude for jetliners. Baumgartner
is expected to reach speeds of 690 mph before activating the parachute
about 5,000 on the ground in southeastern New Mexico. He is about 128,097 feet above the earth - which is more than 24 miles. Ozone edge, the edge of space. Red Bull sponsored the felix Baumgartner, high centered skydive record over Roswell, New Mexico, was officially a success. Baumgartner
originally held the world record two of jumps: one for the highest
skydive and one for the highest manned balloon flight after jumping out
of a balloon and return to earth in under 10 minutes. And
now, he can add breaking the sound barrier for the list of achievements
after traveling at around 729 miles per hour on the way back to earth. This achievement makes Baumgartner feat epic the first to break the sound barrier without mechanical aid in history. Just another record under his belt in the time it takes most people to cook breakfast in the morning. Felt really useful yet? Well,
it seems only a matter of time before it falls to earth epic
Baumgartner became fodder for film and television everywhere - so be
prepared to continue to feel inadequate for a bit longer. How Hollywood do such a thing? In TV and movies, of course! Events
like these always find a way to influence popular culture beyond the
initial event itself, so we have taken this opportunity to let the
entertainment industry know the best way to deal with today's folding
history into their world.
